⻄交利物浦大学执行校⻓、英国利物浦大学副校⻓、⻄安交通大学管理学教授。1982年在陕⻄机械学院取得物理学学士学位，1984年在⻄安交通大学获系统工程硕士学位，1987年获我国 大陆第一个管理工程博士学位，1993年成为我国管理工程领域最年轻的博士生导师。出版著作30余部，发表论文300多篇，指导研究生近200多名。

主要研究领域有战略、领导、决策、组织和教育管理，于1985年创立了和谐管理理论。曾获 省部级以上科研成果奖10余项，并获得“做出突出贡献的中国博士学位获得者”、 “全国优秀 留学回国人员”、“国家级有突出贡献中⻘年专家”、“全国五一劳动奖章”等荣誉和称号，以 及“中国⻘年科技奖”、“中国⻘年科学家奖”等综合性奖励。

Professor Xi gained his undergraduate degree in physics from Xi'an Science and Technology University and his masters in system engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University. In 1987 he was the first person in the Chinese mainland to be awarded a doctoral degree in the field of management engineering, while in 1993 became the youngest supervisor of PhD candidates in management engineering in China. He has published over 30 books, authored more than 300 papers, and supervised nearly 200 postgraduate students.

His primary research areas include strategy, leadership, decision-making, organizational and educational management. In 1985, he established the theory of HeXie Management. He has received over 10 provincial and ministerial-level research achievement awards. He has been honored with titles such as "Outstanding Doctoral Degree Recipient in China," "National Outstanding Returnee," "National Expert with Outstanding Contributions," and the "National May 1st Labour Medal," as well as awards like the "Chinese Youth Science and Technology Award" and "Chinese Youth Scientist Award," among other comprehensive honours.
